1. When and why did you decide to become an actor?

Well, I don’t know that acting is really a conscious decision. You kind of get pulled into it one way or another if it’s what you really want to do. I had done some theatre as a young child, and when I was around 10 or 11 I heard about an opportunity to take some acting classes in the area. That’s pretty much how this whole thing started.

2. You started out with acting on stage in a theatre. What do you like more –
acting on stage or in front of a camera?

I think my true passion is for film but a few summers ago I did a production of a Ray Bradbury novel at a theatre here, and it was one of the best experiences not only of my career, but of my life.

3. What is your favorite memory of your childhood?

My favorite childhood memory is probably, in general just hanging out with my dad on the weekends. More specifically, the time we went to my uncle’s house for Christmas, and stayed up all night, something like 12 hours straight, grilling barbeque for the next day.

4. Since 2008 you've been playing the part of Parker Scavo on "Desperate
Housewives". Did you watch the show before you got the part?

Yes I did. It’s a hilarious yet dramatic take on the average neighborhood, which was just a perfect show for me. My mom originally watched it, and she was kinda the one who got me into it.

5. If you compare yourself to Parker Scavo, what do you have in common and what are the differences between the two of you?

Well, Parker is an extremely intelligent guy, and I like to think I am too, but sometimes he sort of goes nerd overload ya know? I’m pretty sure he’s the only person in the history of the world to wear an argyle sweater to play basketball. Parker is also a mama’s boy and doesn’t take many risks. In other words, I think I’m a little less conservative.

6. In "Desperate Housewives" you have several siblings. Do you have siblings in real life, too? Could you imagine living in such a big family?

Yes, I have one younger brother, and as much as I love him, one sibling is enough to handle! I don’t know if I could handle living in a family as big as ours! Always fighting for attention and all that crazy stuff. But we all get along pretty well.

7. You like playing the guitar. What kind of music do you prefer? Who is your favorite band or musician?

I’m a classic rock guy all the way. My favorite musician is probably Jimi Hendrix. He was so innovative, what he did amazed EVERYONE. I really respect and look up to him.

8. You have already been to Italy and you're interested in seeing more of
Europe. What did you like most about Italy? And do you have plans to come to Germany soon?

Yes Italy was amazing!! And yes I’m definitely interested in seeing more of Europe and hopefully Germany. It used to be number one on my places to visit list, and I want to get there as soon as possible!

9. Do you like soccer?

I do like soccer. When I was really young, I played and was actually pretty good. Though I haven’t done it in a while, I still enjoy watching it.

10. Are there any new projects coming up for you? What can you tell us about them?

Well I’ve been auditioning a lot lately, and I feel good about a couple of them, so keep your fingers crossed! And remember to keep watching on desperate! You guys are the ones who keep our show running!

11. If you could choose to put together an entire crew for a movie: Who would be the director? Who would be the writer? And who would be in the leading role(s)?

Hm… That’s a good question. It would be tag team directing by Rob Reiner and Stanley Kubrick, under the supervision of Clint Eastwood and Ron Howard. Haskell Wexler would be the d.p., and George Lucas would be his assistant. This amazing masterpiece would have to be written by Joel and Ethan Coen, and the cast would look something like this: Michael Caine, Anthony Hopkins, Terrence Howard, Hugo Weaving, William H. Macy, Tim Robbins, Robert Duvall, Sean Penn, Gabriel Byrne, Steve Buscemi, and Christopher Lloyd, for starters!

12. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about TV series, do you have a
favorite one?

At this point, I have to rave about "The Office". It is probably the funniest show to hit TV in years! Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Kate Flannery, what a cast! They are so committed to their roles and I always feel like they know where they are going with them. This show never fails to put me on the floor laughing, and I recommend you go out and rent one of the seasons immediately… Along with as much "Desperate Housewives" paraphernalia as possible!
