"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." interview with
Luke Mitchell

May 6, 2015 | If we met Luke Mitchell as Will Benjamin in the third season of "H20 - Just Add Water" opposite Phoebe Tonkin or as John Young on The CW's "The Tomorrow People" opposite Robbie Amell, one thing is for certain: We are glad to be able to watch him breathe life into his characters in his most charming and brooding way, because he almost didn't take up acting but go pro as a Tennis player. 2008 he landed a role in "Neighbours" before he went on to portraying Romeo Smith on "Home and Away" for four years. That's also where he met his wife Rebecca Breeds. 2013 he got cast for one of the leading roles on "The Tomorrow People" and moved to the US. When the show only lasted one season, another door opened for Luke, which introduced him into the Marvel Cinematic Universe: He is now playing the role of transitioner Lincoln Campbell on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D". In our quick little interview he talks about the show and his fans.

1. On "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." you play Lincoln Campbell, a transitioner who helps Skye accepting her new being. When you signed on to this new project what were you most excited about?

I was excited to be working on such a huge show and one that is set in the MCU!

2. Lincoln seems like a good guy in his scenes with Skye but even more so being completely judgement-free with Raina. What do you admire about your character?

I admire that he genuinely wants to help.

3. With Lincoln and Deathlok in Hydra's custody now will Lincoln get in on more of the action and reveal a little more about himself?

The more the story goes on, the more you'll see the different colours of Lincoln.

4. What is the biggest suprise about working in the Marvel Universe?

Well, in regards to working on SHIELD, the most pleasant surprise was how much of a family everyone is.

5. "H20", "The Tomorrow People" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." all have passionate fandoms. How do you experience the interaction with actors and fans on social media?

I am extremely grateful to all the fans out there and I try to respond to as many as I can on Twitter, as well as keeping them as updated as possible.

6. It was almost Tennis bringing you to our tv screens so didn't you have to go through a little bit of a transition yourself from almost going pro to taking up acting?

Haha! Yes.. a huge transition but I couldn't be happier. I'm all about getting out of your comfort zone and taking a chance!

7. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about U.S. television shows, we would like to know what your favorite shows are?

I'm really loving "Daredevil" at the moment!

Thank you for the interview, Luke, we wish you all the best for your future!
