1. How would you describe your music in one sentence?

King Black Acid's music ranges from dark moody soundscapes to anthemic sexy rave ups.

2. Was there something like a light bulb moment when you were young, maybe a concert, a certain song or a record that made you dream about a career as a musician?

I was very inspired by 1970's radio but seeing Neil Young play his guitar just blew me away.

3. Are there any artists that might have influenced you or inspired you some time?

I've been inspired by any artist that channeled or channels the true spirit of music. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Dylan, Springsteen, Wire, Television, XTC, Marvin Gaye, etc...

4. How do you develop your songs? What part comes first, music or lyrics?

Every song is done different. Some come out of a cool drum beat, some from a guitar riff, some from a funky old circuit bent keyboard. The sounds usually speak to me/us and tell me/us what they want. From there the dream life of the song reveals itself. Sometimes all at once, sometimes little by little.

5. What song is most important to you? Why and how did it develop?

Whatever song I'm working on in the present is most important to me. Right now that's our new single "Let's Burn" for the new UnderWorld 3 "Rise Of The Lycans" soundtrack. We just finished a re-mix/dance mix version for the soundtrack itself. We will soon release a heavy rock'n version of the tune.

6. In what aspects did your music change compared to when you started to make music?

When I started to play music I was drumming in bands playing arty punk rock in the early 80's. The focus was on dressing our rage with sounds that we tried to make into songs. Now I'm singing and playing multiple instruments. Getting deeper into the craft of songwriting. I'm still very interested in dressing the songs with cerebraly challenging psychedelic sounds that help create a dream life for each song. I try to make each song a sonic journey.

7. What has been the best experience so far, together as a band?

Every time we get to play our music for other people it is an experience we hold in high regard.

8. What can you tell us about your current projects?

The UnderWorld 3 "Rise of the Lycans" soundtrack is our latest. It's very sexy. I suggest people check out our song for themselves.

9. And what are you aspiring to in the future, what do you want to achieve?

We aspire to create. To make beautiful music every day!

10. With whom would you like to go on tour?

We would like to tour with like minded artists. There are so many great bands out there, I wouldn't know where to start. My favorite band today is MGMT. Tomorrow I will be in love with Muse. After that.......perhaps NiN. I would love to tour with those cats.

11. What record would we find in your CD-player right now?

Right now I'm listening to Starfucker.

12. What do you think, as artists, about platforms like mySpace?

Myspace is awesome. Any outlet for artists to get there music out to the public is great. Also myspace is great for meeting 50 year old fat bald perverts posing as cute teenage girls into emo rock. We really dig Virb.com as well. Facebook is more of a douche fest.

13. myFanbase is a website that is devoted to American television shows. Do you have a favorite show?

Favorite t.v. show would have to be "South Park". We all really love television. Especially shows like "CSI: Miami" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" because they use our music. Any television show that would use our music is awesome!
