Michelle Williams etabliert sich langsam aber sicher als Independent-Schauspielerin. Momentan steht sie für einen weiteren Indie-Film "Angst and Alienation in America" unter der Regie des deutschen Regisseurs Wim Wenders in Los Angeles vor der Kamera. Leider gibt es noch keinerlei Infos über die Handlung, außer, dass es sich bei dem Film um ein Drama über Heimatlosigkeit handelt. Michelle spielt an der Seite von John Diehl, Richard Edson und Burt Young. Das Drehbuch stammt von Wim Wenders und Michael Meredith.

Michelle Williams Cast in Wenders' Indie Project

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Michelle Williams, best known for her role in the hit WB series "Dawson's Creek," has been cast as the female lead in the new film from indie auteur Wim Wenders.

The untitled project, from IFC's InDigEnt banner, begins production this week in Los Angeles with John Diehl as the male lead and Richard Edson co-starring. Diehl and Edson previously worked in Wenders, "The End of Violence" and "Million Dollar Hotel," respectively.

For Williams, the project furthers her foray into the indie world: Her upcoming features include the Sundance standouts Miramax Films' "The Station Agent" and Paramount Classics' "The United States of Leland." She is currently shooting writer-helmer Dan Harris' "Imaginary Heroes."
