1. What is your favourite moment of your childhood?

My favorite memories are of riding horses in upstate New York. The woods were my cathedral. I could see the universe in those woods riding.

2. Your father is German and you were born in Düsseldorf. How connected do you feel to Germany and do you come visiting often?

I used to come several times a year, but both of my grandparents passed away recently so I have less of a motivation to go now. But I feel very connected to Germany and a lot of my childhood memories are from Heidelberg.

3. Your daughter Easton is 19-month-old now. How did your life change since she was born?

I haven't slept in 2 years and I've never been happier. They change your life in every possible way.

4. You published a cookbook and have also written a novel. What is the novel about? And has it been published yet? If not, are you planning on publishing it?

The novel is called "Nerissa" and it is a period piece, a love story that takes place in 1911 in Scotland. It's available on Amazon through Kindle.

5. When and why did you decide to become an actress?

Really all of my friends in college were actors. I was more of a writer. Hanging out with my friends I did some acting to spend time with them. I guess in the beginning it was just peer pressure, but then I got hooked.

6. If you could choose to put together an entire crew for a movie: Who would be the director? Who would be the writer? And who would be in the leading role(s)?

That's a good question. I would have Werner Herzog or Wolfgang Peterson direct it. I like Milo Addica ("Monster's Ball") or David Benioff ("The Kite Runner", "Troy") to write it and my stars would be Til Schweiger, Robert Downey Jr. and Kate Blanchett, and Morgan Freeman.

7. With playing Kate Lockley on "Angel" you became part of the Whedonverse. Do you like still being connected to this? Or does it seem bigger for the fans than for the actors themselves?

I am a very sentimental person and feel incredibly inspired and grateful to Joss Whedon. He gave me my first break. I love being associated with him.

8. Did you watch "Angel" after you left the show?

Absolutely, I am friends with David Boreanaz. To me he is a modern day Cary Grant. Sexy smart and funny.

9. Are you still in contact with some of the castmembers from "Angel"?

Yes, with David [Boreanaz] and Joss Whedon who I fondly refer to as a modern day Dr. Seyss.

10. For four years you starred in "Law & Order". What experience do you take with you from that time?

A great sense of professionalism because I worked with people who are 30 years older than me. My philosophy has become "do it well and do it quick". That was their philosophy, and they were veterans!

11. You just had a guest spot on "Heroes" and your character was seen in a flashback with Noah. Will we see her again in the present?

You better believe it.

12. Since the company had the rule "One of us, one of them" and we know that Noah doesn't have any powers – is it possible that Lauren has powers? Or were they just working together at the company but weren't partners?

I think anything is possible in the mind of great writers as the "Heroes" writers. But for now my only powers are that I am a badass.

13. Do you have any other new projects you can tell us about?

Yes, I have a movie I just finished called the "Kreutzer Sonata" with Anjelica Huston and Danny Huston. I also have a movie called "Minkow" with James Caan. "Kreutzer Sonata" is having a theatrical release in England and hopefully in Germany.

14. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about TV series, do you have a favorite one?

I don't watch much television between my work schedule and playing with Easton. I enjoy a good movie every once in a while though.
