1. Your father is Irish, have you ever been to Ireland or Europe in general?

Yes, I have traveled through Europe. I actually lived in Amsterdam for a bit, which was incredible. I've been to Paris, Rome, Florence, Prague, Budapest…so many more to go. I love to travel. It's one of my favorite things to do.

2. Is it true that one of your hobbies is to write short stories? What kind of stories are those and do you plan to publish them one day?

I have always been a big fan of short fiction, it is such a beautiful form. I started writing a few years ago and I’ve been hacking away at it ever since. It's difficult with our shooting schedule, but I find that it's easier to stay sane if I keep at it. I write about lots of things, it really depends on what I'm going through or thinking about at a certain time. I like people who are in the middle of things, in the middle of figuring out who they are, what they're made of. I like complicated, funny, sad situations. I'm always so nervous to show them to people, though! I'm much more self-conscious about writing than I am about acting.

3. You started acting when you were only six years old. Did you already know at that time that you would like to become an actress?

I did. It really is the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do. I made my mom let me audition for a local production of "The King and I." I got cast and that was it. I was hooked.

4. What was your most favorite moment on the set of "Bones"?

Hmmm. There’s been a lot of them. There was a scene in the pilot where Emily and I had our first "girl talk." It was a beautifully written scene, and the first one we shot together. It felt like a real conversation, like we were really speaking to each other. I remember knowing in that moment that the show was going to be special.

5. Which aspect do you like most on "Bones": The relationships between the characters or the work of the team solving the cases?

The relationships, definitely. I think they have always driven the show.

6. Your character Angela Montenegro is a very talented artist. Do you yourself draw as well?

I like to paint, but drawing has never been a strength of mine. You should see what I'm actually drawing on those sketch pads! Stick figures! Our technical advisor, Donna Cline, does all of Angela's illustrations on the show and she's incredible. She's very helpful.

7. Could you image a friendship between Angela and Brennan, who have very different personalities, in real life?

Definitely. Some of my best friends see things very differently than I do. I actually think Angela and Brennan are very similar, but that they use different parts of themselves to make decisions. Brennan thinks things through fastidiously with her mind while Angela jumps in, sometimes too wildly, with her heart. They have a lot to learn from each other.

8. How did you feel about the writers strike and how did it affect "Bones"?

The strike was difficult for everyone. It ended up being longer than anyone anticipated, obviously, and affected many people’s jobs and lives. In the case of our show, I know some storylines were mildly affected, but I think they did a good job of getting around it story wise. I’m glad it’s over and I hope we can avoid another one.

9. Can you give us some scoop about what is coming up next in season four?

Without spoiling anything? Hmmm. Lots of good stuff! Rumor has it that Brennan and Booth step it up a bit in the romance department. Angela and Hodgins are trying to figure out what's going on with their relationship. Angela has an ex lover show up and things get pretty interesting. We have a new character on the show, a young psychiatrist played by John Francis Daley, who is hysterically funny. There’s gonna be lots of juicy stuff going on, but I can’t tell you too much here. Watch it and find out!

10. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about TV series, do you have a favorite one?

I actually don't watch a ton of TV. If I have any time I usually go to the movies. But I do like "Flight of the Conchords", "Saturday Night Live", "Project Runway", I loved "Six Feet Under".
